The realm of Lumnos is known for its elegance, artistry, and quiet obsession with beauty and power. Its natives are recognized by their striking blue eyes, a reflection of their ability to control light and darkness. Their power is represented through a sigil shaped as a crescent moon set within a shining sun. The land is filled with dense foliage and flourishing forests, creating a shadowed environment where light filters softly through the canopy. This showcases the balance of light and dark within the realm and it’s magic. The culture in Lumnos, particularly among the Descended, is heavily focused on wealth, status, and appearance, often just as much as strength, if not more. While mortals are permitted within Descended territory, it is only under strict confines. These limitations reinforce the clear divide between classes, a structure that continues to define daily life and social hierarchy within Lumnos.

The realm of Lumnos stands apart from the other realms in how it is governed. While most regions in Emarion are ruled through direct monarchy under a Descended ruler, Lumnos operates through a complex system of noble Houses. These Houses form the ruling aristocracy, controlling resources, enforcing order, and shaping the political landscape of the realm. Power is not held by a single ruler alone, but constantly influenced by alliances, rivalries, and internal competition among these elite families.
There are twenty Houses in total, each representing a powerful bloodline with its own legacy, strengths, and influence. Leadership within each House is passed down through lineage and reinforced through magical ability. This structure creates a highly competitive environment, where status is constantly being challenged and maintained through both strategy and strength. Compared to other realms, where authority is more absolute, Lumnos is defined by its shifting balance of power.

Out of the twenty Houses, there Five Houses that are most influential for the realm.
House Corbois is known for its long history of connection to the throne. They have produced many skilled warriors and strategic leaders while maintaining a reputation for discipline and loyalty.

House Benette holds power through military strength, specializing in weaponry and combat, and is often seen as unyielding and pertinacious.
House Hanoverre operates through political strategy and ambition, using influence and manipulation to secure power, often pushing ethical boundaries.
House Teniers and House Amraut are also recognized among the top Houses, though their roles aren’t explicitly defined.

Beyond these, other Houses play smaller but crutial roles.
House Byrnum is known for its unconventional leadership and manipulative tactics, using wealth and alliances to maintain influence.
House Ghiselaine, though considered a lower-ranking House, has gained power through financial control and strategic negotiation rather than strength.
The remaining Houses continue to exist within the system, contributing to the layered and often unpredictable nature of Lumnos politics. In Lumnos, power is constantly shifting, being negotiated, and challenged. It is one of the most politically complex realms in Emarion. Where influence is made to be just as important as strength, and where every House is both an ally and a potential threat for power.
